Abu Hurayra said, “The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked, ‘Messenger of Allah! A certain woman prays in the night, fasts in the day, acts and gives sadaqa, but injures her neighbours with her tongue.’ The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘There is no good in her. She is one of the people of the Fire.’ They said, ‘Another woman prays the prescribed prayers and gives bits of curd as sadaqa and does not injure anyone.’ The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘She is one of the people of the Garden.'”
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad: Book 6, Hadith 19
We Muslim are enjoined to show kindness to our neighbours. We mustn’t restrict this kindness within the fold of Islam, not only to Muslims alone, we must also show it to the humanity at large[to the non-Muslims]. Don’t be the type that belied, backbite or slander your neighbours. No matter how devoted you are, you must show kindness and talk to them politely. Your character towards your neighbours will show them what your religion is all about. Let there be peaceful coexistence between you and your neighbours. If any matter arises, learn how to solve it amicably, never take sides, and always do justice.
Kindness promotes peace.
Islam is peace
Muslims are peaceful..
