On a cold winter morning, it is only the love for Allah that makes you to leave the comfort of your cozy bed and make wudu with the cold water and stand in front of Allah سبحانه وتعالى only to please Him.
We all desire jannah but we are not willing to leave the comfort of our homes to stand before Allah سبحانه وتعالى in Fajr Salah.
Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “During sleep, Shaytan knots at the back of the head each of you, and he breathes the following words at each knot, ‘the night is long, so keep on sleeping.’ If that person wakes up and celebrates the praises of Allah, then the knot is undone, and when he performs ablutions the second knot is undone, and when he prays, all the knots are undone, and he gets up in the morning lively and in good spirits, otherwise he gets up in low spirits and lethargic.” [Bukhari]
We all desire jannah but we are not willing to leave our worldly desires to stand before Allah in Zuhr and Asr Salah.
We all desire jannah but we feel too lazy to stand before Allah in Maghrib and lsha Salah.
“No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the ‘Isha prayers and if they knew the reward for these prayers at their respective times, they would certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they had to crawl.” [Bukhari]
Why is it that we remember to offer Salah on Jummah and choose to ignore it for the rest of the days? What makes you different as a Muslim from the rest of the world? What is the different between Muslim and Kafir? The answer is Salah, the Opportunity to meet your Creator 5 times every single day. SUBHAN’ALLAH!!!
The beauty of our deen is that we get to have a conversation with our Creator 5 times every single day. If we truly appreciate the Opportunity and the blessing of Salah, if we truly seek to please Allah, if we truly seek the comfort and peace in salah, then we wouldn’t miss a single Salah. If you get to taste the sweetness of Salah, then surely you wouldn’t want to miss it for anything in this world.
Don’t let the worldly pursuits and worldly pleasures deviate you from the straight path. Remember dear brothers and sisters, all the luxuries we enjoy here in this world are temporary but the luxuries of JANNAH are permanent. Salah is the first step to attain success in this world and in the hereafter and don’t treat your Salah as a ladder to achieve success, but treat it as a blessing, treat it as a way of being grateful and a way of saying thanks to Allah سبحانه وتعالى for all his blessings.
Always remember that we pray Salah to please Allah and not to please others. Turn to Allah before we return to Allah. ALSO AS THE SAYING GOES; A HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION IS THE ONE WHO CAN LIFT UP HIS BLANKET FOR FAJR SALAH.
May Allah سبحانه وتعالى make us amongst those who are righteous and steadfast in their Salah regularly and guide us on his straight path and Forgive us all for our sins. أمين.
